Health Problems of the Aged Among the Angami Nagas

ABSTRACT The present study was undertaken to find out the health problems of the Angami aged of Nagaland. The study reveals that majority of the aged suffer from one or a combination of ailments but many of them either regard themselves to be in excellent condition or are indifferent to their health or consider it as common in old age. Despite of all ailments and handicaps, the medical facilities available for the aged are inadequate and many aged are compelled to seek help from private practitioners inspite of their poor economic status.
